Today, they'll show us all how to make DIY smoked beef stick using two different jerky seasonings (one super healthy and one regular). They'll also use ground hamburger as the base with two different fat contents (7% and 10%), so these beef sticks will be quite lean. You can use higher fat content for a more rich flavor if you want. All the items (food and/or tools) Shaun used to make these beef sticks can be found via the following affiliate link: https://urlgeni.us/amzn/wAjgSF You can also find our products in CVS, HEB, Kroger, Hy-Vee, Meijer, and Amazon! ✅ Click here to follow our family on INSTAGRAM, to see other photos and stories not published here! 👉🏻 http://instagram.com/mindymcknight Below you can find the base recipe for these DIY Smoked Beef Sticks: * 5 lbs of ground beef (pref 90/10, however no more than 15% fat content) * Jerky seasoning packet * 1-3 diced jalepeños (remove seeds to reduce spice) * 1/2 lb high-heat cheddar * Add 1/4 cup of water to help bring beef mixture to a squeezable consistency. Hand mix the beef mixture until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed together. Place mixture into a beef stick tool (see link below), and squeeze the beef sticks onto a drying rack. Preheat your smoker to 180F and use a mixture of pecan and oak wood to smoke with, and slow dry the beef sticks for 5 hours. Remove beef sticks from the smoker and allow to cool for 20 minutes. Cut your beef sticks to your desired snacking length and vacuum seal or place in ziploc bags. Keep the beef sticks in the fridge to help lengthen shelf life, or store them in the freezer for long term storage.
